KGC coach Kim Sang-sik who ruined the first game in the second half “The worst game this season”

“I had my worst game this season.”

Anyang KGC ended the season’s second consecutive win by losing 65-85 in an away game against Goyang Carrot in the 4th round of the 2022-23 SKT Adot Professional Basketball held at the Goyang Gymnasium on the 21st.

It was a rout. After leading for a while in the first quarter, it was KGC that lethargicly collapsed, giving the initiative to Carrot all the time. 안전놀이터

After the match, KGC coach Kim Sang-shik said, “When the break was long, the performance was not good. He seems to have been bad in many ways rather than an excuse,” he said. I have a game tomorrow, so I will prepare well.”

Most teams’ first games after the All-Star break weren’t great. There are concerns that taking a long break in the middle of the season could reduce the sense of the game behind the recovery of physical strength. That part has become a reality. KGC was no different.

Coach Kim said, “Looking at other teams’ matches, there were aftereffects of the break period. I was also concerned, but I said I prepared myself, but I played the worst game this season. Everyone, including you, was bad,” he said. “After tomorrow’s game, I’ll take another five days off. I think we need to prepare well so that this kind of performance does not repeat itself.”

On the other hand, KGC’s main gun Oh Se-geun only played 18 minutes and 29 seconds. Coach Kim said, “It is part of the physical strength arrangement for tomorrow’s game, but above all, it was a choice to cope with Carrot’s small lineup. Rather than doubting (Oh) Se-geun’s skills, it was a strategic choice.”
