For the first time in history, the K-League 2 (second division), in which 13 teams will participate, kicks off on March 1st and begins a long run for about nine months until November 26th.
On the 26th, the Korea Professional Football Federation released the regular round schedule for the 2023 season K League 2.
Cheonan City FC and Chungbuk Cheongju FC joined this season’s K-League 2, and a total of 13 clubs will participate and each team will play 36 matches. Last season, 11 teams participated, each team played 40 games.
All six games of the opening round of the 2023 season will be held on March 1, divided into 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm, with three games each. 안전놀이터
At 1:30 pm on the opening day, Gyeongnam FC and Bucheon FC, which met in last year’s semi-playoff, will clash at the Changwon Soccer Center. At the same time, the new team Cheonan will make its K League 2 debut against Busan I’Park at Cheonan Sports Complex, and Jeonnam Dragons will face FC Anyang at home.
At 4:00 pm on the 1st, Seongnam FC, a relegated team, will face off against Ansan Greeners at Tancheon Sports Complex in Seongnam. At the same time, Chungnam Asan FC and Kimcheon Sangmu will play at Yi Sun-shin Sports Complex. After challenging the K-League 2 stage, Cheongju goes on an expedition to Mok-dong Sports Complex to face Seoul E-Land FC.
Cheongju will have their home opener against Kimcheon on March 4 at Cheongju Sports Complex.
After completing round 39 of the regular round, the playoffs for the K-League 1 begin. The K League 2 semi-playoff between 4th and 5th place is scheduled to be held on November 29th, and the playoff between K-League 2 3rd place and the semi-playoff winning team is scheduled to be held on December 2nd. The promotion playoffs will be held on December 6th and December 9th in a home-and-away format.
